A studio of one. Sites are built by hand, written line by line, and designed to outlast trends.

One project at a time. Eight weeks, end to end. The work lasts longer than the trends that shaped it.

The founder

I’m Cam Carroll.

A one-person studio in Boston, Massachusetts, building hand-coded websites for businesses that care about how the work actually reads. No templates, no page-builders, no AI scaffolding shortcuts — every line of every site is written by hand, by me, for one client at a time. The process takes longer; the result lasts longer.

I take a small handful of projects each quarter and design them as if the founder will hand the URL to their most important client tomorrow morning. Because they will.

The practice

What I do.

01

Hand-coded websites

Bespoke marketing sites for service businesses that take themselves seriously. Every line of code written by hand — no templates, no page-builders, no off-the-shelf components. Built to last, built to load fast, built to feel like nothing else on the web.

02

Editorial brand systems

When the site needs a voice — typography palette, color system, motion language, copy direction — I build it as one coherent practice. Brand and site shipped together, working in concert. Never bolted on later.

03

Site refinement & audits

Existing sites that have outgrown their template. I take the bones you’ve already built and rewrite them, line by line, into something the founder is proud to hand to anyone. Honest assessment included before we begin.

04

Concierge build

White-glove engagement for clients who want to skip the proposal cycle. Single-source contact, weekly progress, deployed in eight weeks. For founders who already know the result they want and need a builder who can deliver it.

Sierra Auto Group rents McLarens, Lamborghinis, and Ferraris by the day. Their old site was a wall of stock photography. The new one is a film — a hand-coded canvas of cinematic motion, with a custom boomerang McLaren loop running as the hero, a crossfade carousel scrolling photos like film frames, and a contact flow that routes directly to their 24/7 concierge inbox.

Tailwind for layout discipline. WebP across every image for a 42% payload reduction. Hand-written legal pages. PWA-installable. Apple-style back-to-top button with smart elapsed-time resume logic. The full kit, written line by line — and tested across ten viewports before going live.

I.

The preloader

Cinematic intro on every first visit. Curtain-up, 1.4s, custom curve.

II.

The McLaren hero

Custom-encoded forward + reverse for a seamless boomerang loop. No edit visible.

III.

The carousel

Scroll-tied crossfade. Each photo a frame. Subtle Ken-Burns pan keeps the eye moving.

Process · Three steps, eight weeks

How we’ll work together.

From a written brief to a deployed site · end to end

I.

Brief

One conversation. Written scope. Fixed quote.

A 45-minute call covers everything I need to know. Within a week, you receive a written brief, a fixed scope, a fixed quote, and a start date. No proposal deck. No back-and-forth. If the brief feels right, we begin. If it doesn’t, you owe nothing.

II.

Build

Six weeks. Hand-coded. Friday previews.

I work on one project at a time. Every line of code is written by hand — no AI scaffolding, no page-builder shortcuts, no off-the-shelf components dropped in for speed. You receive a Friday progress link each week with a live preview you can click through. Feedback in writing; revisions on Monday.

III.

Live

Deployed, configured, refined.

I deploy to Netlify, configure your domain, set up your Google Workspace inbox, and run a training session on the contact form. Then a 30-day refinement window — fix anything, add anything, no scope-creep arguments. The site you ship with is the site you can live with.

The investment

Sites start at $2,500 for a five-page hand-coded build. Most engagements range from $5,000 to $25,000 depending on scope. Quoted fixed, never hourly.

Not for everyone. I don’t work with templates, page-builders, AI-scaffolded sites, or pre-existing rescue jobs. If you need it fast and cheap, this isn’t the right fit — and I’ll tell you so on the first call.

The founder

“I take on two clients a quarter. The work is hand-built, never assembled. The process takes longer; the result lasts longer.”

The commitment

Two weeks in, if it doesn’t feel right, we part ways. No fees. No portfolio rights. Clean exit.
